Manhattan Institute Publishes Letter on FDA Reform in New York Times

NEW YORK, NY — The Manhattan Institute ran a full-page ad in the New York Times today calling for a new approach to drug approvals that leverages the remarkable scientific advances happening in laboratories at this very moment.

Centered on the argument that “Everyone will be a patient someday,” the ad calls for “collaboration on an unprecedented scale” to help the FDA integrate the modern marvel of personalized medicine into the drug approval process. It concludes, “A new golden age of medicine is within our grasp. We believe now is the time to seize it.”

Twenty-nine prominent members of the scientific, health care, and policy communities signed the ad, which appears in full below. Click here for more information.
