America is locked in a political struggle the intensity of which we have not seen in decades, if not longer. President Trump's style, agenda, and personality have divided the country into two camps, both passionately engaged for or against a man whose political career is the most unusual in U.S. history. No one doubts that November's midterm elections will set the stage for the ultimate battle in this crucial conflict: the 2020 presidential election.

Few political analysts are better placed to interpret the midterms than Henry Olsen, whose 2016 election prediction accurately noted Trump's rise as well as the causes behind it; indeed, Olsen's election predictions for the past decade rival those of data-driven pundits such as Nate Silver. Please join MI for a midterm elections debriefing.

Henry Olsen is a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. Previously, he served in executive positions at the American Enterprise Institute, Manhattan Institute, and Commonwealth Foundation. He is the author of The Working Class Republican: Ronald Reagan and the Return of Blue-Collar Conservatism (2017) and co-author of The Four Faces of the Republican Party (2016). He holds a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College and a J.D. from the University of Chicago.
