Biography

Noah Williams is an adjunct fellow at the Manhattan Institute focusing on economic policy. The Juli Plant Grainger Professor of Economics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and the founding Director of the Center for Research On the Wisconsin Economy (CROWE), his research focuses on macroeconomics—particularly monetary policy, social insurance programs, and financial markets—as well as state economies.

Williams contributes regular economic policy commentary to City Journal and has published widely and co-authored several papers with Nobel Prize recipients Lars Peter Hansen and Thomas Sargent.

A PhD and BA graduate of the University of Chicago, Williams is a member of the Economic Advisors Roundtable organized by the WMC and WEDC.
