Adam J. White is a research fellow at the Hoover Institution, a City Journal contributing editor, and counsel at Boyden Gray & Associates, a boutique Washington, D.C., law firm specializing in constitutional and regulatory matters. He has filed briefs in the U.S. Supreme Court and other federal courts. Previously, White was a senior associate at Baker Botts, working primarily on litigation and regulatory strategy pertaining to energy infrastructure projects. He has written for the Wall Street Journal, The Weekly Standard, and Commentary; is a contributing editor of National Affairs and The New Atlantis; and has published legal scholarship in the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy and Albany Law Review.

White serves on a variety of committees and projects of the American Bar Association, Federalist Society, and Alexander Hamilton Society, as well as on the board of directors for the Resources First Foundation, a nonprofit promoting conservation on working lands. He clerked for Judge David B. Sentelle of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. White holds a B.A. from the University of Iowa and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
