Civil Society

For nearly 20 years, Manhattan Institute (MI) has celebrated and sought to advance America’s long tradition of civil-society organizations and leaders who, with the help of volunteers and private philanthropy, have come together to help communities address our most serious social problems. MI’s Tocqueville Project’s Civil Society Awards Program and Civil Society Fellows Program recognize and support nonprofit leaders who have found new and effective ways to assist those in need and help people change the course of their lives.

Civil Society Collegiate Associates will work closely with team members who direct and support the Tocqueville Project to identify, research, and connect with up-and-coming civil society leaders and organizations that work on social issues. This role will provide research, writing, and logistical support for both of MI’s civil society programs.
