William J. Stern

William J. Stern is a contributing editor of City Journal, writing widely on economic issues and New York politics. Chairman of Mario Cuomo’s 1982 campaign for governor, he later was chairman and chief executive of the New York State Urban Development Corporation. Previously, Stern founded and ran his own computer business in New York. He holds a B.A. from Columbia University.
