The Manhattan Institute is pleased to announce that senior fellow Steven Malanga, in addition to his role as senior editor of City Journal, has joined the editorial team of RealClearMarkets.com.

RealClearMarkets.com, the recently launched sister site of the popular RealClearPolitics.com, is a one-stop shop for market-related news, analysis and commentary. RealClearMarkets collects and publishes content from across the ideological spectrum from the worlds of business, economics, finance, and political economy.

Steve Malanga looks forward to writing for RealClearMarkets, saying, "Readers who already rely on RealClearPolitics for their daily dose of political news will find RealClearMarkets to be a comprehensive and accessible source for economic news, policy and data. My goal is to provide analysis and numbers, which along with the other content on RealClearMarkets, will give the reader a better handle on economic reality."

An influential business writer, Malanga's work focuses on the intersection of economics, business, and public policy. His recent pieces cover such diverse topics as the influence of state and local fiscal policies on economic development, the importance of skilled immigrants to the future of America's economy, and using privatization to repair our national infrastructure.

Prior to joining the Manhattan Institute in October of 2000, Malanga was at Crain’s New York Business for fourteen years, serving as managing editor and then executive editor, and writing a weekly column. Malanga regularly offers commentary on television and radio, and has written for publications including The Wall Street Journal, New York Post, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The Chicago Sun-Times and The Dallas Morning News.

The Mission of the Manhattan Institute is to develop and disseminate new ideas
that foster greater economic choice and individual responsibility.
