Democracy After Brexit

18
Friday November 2016

In June 2016, 51.9 percent of the British people voted in a referendum to leave the European Union. What does Brexit mean for the future of Europe in general and the United Kingdom in particular? What lessons are in it for the United States?

Join us for a lecture on these questions by the British writer and philosopher Sir Roger Scruton. The author of 50 books, most recently Fools, Frauds and Firebrands and The Ring of Truth, a study of Wagner's Ring cycle, Scruton is also a fellow of the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C., and the Humanities Research Center at Buckingham University.
